once the plants have been replanted, the pupils of 3rd Grade go out to the vegetable patch to reflect their growing on a piece of paper. They sit down next to the soil to draw the evolution of their plants!

Friday, 23rd October

And the great moment arrived!!! The first plants are here!!! Escarole, lettuce, broccoli, leek, cabbage and chard are the vegetables that have been replanted in our vegetable patch.

The soil had been watered previously, so that it could be able to start replanting. The pupils put the plants carefully into the soil, paying attention not to damage the roots, and covered the surface with soil. Here you have got the professional gardeners!

Friday, 16th October

After some weeks, it was the moment for 3rd grade students to plough the soil. This way, the patch will be ready to replant. They took the hoes and started to remove the soil, leaving a space for the new plants!

Friday, 18th September

After summer period, the first task to do was to clean up the vegetable patch. 3rd grade's pupils went to the vegetable patch and, with the help of some teachers,  they removed the weeds that had grown during those months. They also harvested some tomatoes and the teachers decided to raffle them among the students. The kids did an excellent work that will allow them to start replanting!
