Wednesday, 19th October

Once the plants have been replanted, the pupils of 3rd Grade go out to the vegetable patch to reflect their growing on a piece of paper. One week has passed and we can already see the differences...they grow so fast!

They sit down next to the soil to draw the evolution of their plants!

Wednesday, 12th October

The great moment is here!!! The first plants are here!!! Escarole, lettuce, broccoli, leek, cabbage and chard are the vegetables that have been replanted in our vegetable patch.

The soil had been watered previously, so that it could be able to start replanting. The pupils put the plants carefully into the soil, paying attention not to damage the roots, and covered the surface with more soil. The kids enjoy a lot playing the role of gardeners!

Wednesday, 21st September

The strongest kids started to plough the soil with their tools! Once prepared, they were ready for the next explanation...

Mercè showed the students how to prepare the soil before planting: we have to add some nutrients to the soil, so that the plants will be able to develop their vital functions! (as it is a chemical product, the teacher was in charge of adding the nutrients).

Wednesday, 14th September

The first task to do for the kids was to clean up the vegetable patch. 3rd grade's pupils went to the vegetable patch and, with the help of some teachers,  they removed the weeds that had grown during those months (they wore special gloves for security!). The kids did an excellent work that will allow them to start replanting!
